Sgt. David Bivens

Sgt. Bivens has been with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office since 1989. Bivens began his career as a member of the Police Explorer program which is sponsored by the Police Athletic League of Washington Court House, and participated in that program for 4 years. David started with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office in August of 1989 with the communications and corrections Division. His Ohio Peace Officer Certificate was earned at the Greenfield Police Academy in 1993.He now serves as a patrol supervisor and is a former K-9 handler. David completed Basic Narcotics Investigators school in April of 1996. At that time, he became the zoning coordinator for the Southwest Regional Drug Task Force. Bivens is also a member of the S.T.A.R. Team. In 1999, David was promoted to the rank of Corporal and shortly after that, to his present rank of Sergeant. In his spare time, David enjoys hunting, fishing and softball.
