Detective Coe is a 1997 graduate of the Southern Ohio Police Training Institute at Ohio University. While there, he earned his Ohio Peace Officers certificate. Coe served in the corrections division of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office until the summer of 1999. At that time, he was moved to the patrol division. In 2003, Doug was re-assigned to the investigations division. In 2008 Detective Coe was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Doug is also a member of the STAR Team. Some of Coe's favorite pastimes are golfing and showing antique tractors.
