Deputy Campbell has been serving with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office since 1962. He received his Ohio Peace Officer certificate in 1970. After retiring from the local school district as a bus driver in 1994, Donnie went to work at the Orient Correctional Institution. Deputy Campbell has attended many law enforcement related schools, including firearms training. As an auxiliary unit, Deputy Campbell's duties include being a member of the Emergency Response Team, prisoner transports, court security and security for two of Fayette County's large shopping malls. Campbell's many pastimes include motorcycling, boating, fishing, firearms, working on cars, and participating in numerous Masonic functions. He is also devoted to his handicapped son, Special Deputy Dennis Campbell.
