Deputy Dan R. Summers

Deputy Summers began his law enforcement career in 1975 with the Washington Court House Police Department. He then joined the Fayette County Sheriff's Office in August of 1979. In 1981, he attended the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy where he earned his Ohio Peace Officer Certificate. Dan continued to work as a corrections officer for two years before being assigned to the patrol division. In May of 1997 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal, and then in October of 1997, to the rank of Sergeant where he served as a patrol supervisor until his retirement in July of 2006. Dan then accepted a Commission with the Madison County Sheriff's Office and is the Patrol Chief assigned to Choctaw Lake in London, Ohio.  Dan enjoys outdoor activities such as motorcycling, boating, golfing, hunting and spending time with his family.
